Deputations from Rajpora, Ganderbal, Kapran, Kulgam, Shopian meet CM | kno

Raise demands; Mehbooba assures redressal

SRINAGAR, MAY 06 (KNO) : A number of deputations from various areas of Kashmir Valley met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today. They apprised the Chief Minister of their problems and sought redressal of the same. A deputation of people from Rajpora, Pulwama demanded setting up of Anganwari and Public Distribution centres in the uncovered areas of the constituency. They also sought development of park at Nikas, upgradation of Kareemabad High School and embankment of Rumshi nallah. They also sought establishment of a degree college and Sub District Hospital in the area.

The deputation also sought upgradation of irrigation facilities in the area, setting up of silk factory at Zasoo village and promotion of Almond plantation. A deputation from Pulwama led by Showket Gayur demanded installation of machinery and construction of staff quarters at Newa hospital. They also demanded stabilization of power and drinking water supply infrastructure in the area. A deputation of Auqaf Committee, Kapran demanded setting up of a health centre, augmentation of the electric receiving station and widening of road from Kapran to Crossway. A deputation from Ganderbal thanked the Chief Minister for Srinagar-Ganderbal road widening project. They, however, sought its extension upto Vayil, development of playfield at Kraw-Gund and posting of staff at PHC, Chatergul. Deputations from Shopian and Kulgam also met the Chief Minister and apprised her of their problems.

A deputation of State Motor Garages employees sought revision of service rules of the Department. They thanked the Chief Minister for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. A deputation of employees of Centaur Lake View Hotel also met Mehbooba Mufti and demanded full takeover of the hotel by the State Government. The Chief Minister listened to the demands of the deputations patiently and assured them to look into the same at the earliest.
